Artistic History
SHH Theory's creative history spans more than two decades of independent work across film, theatre, opera, music, puppetry and interdisciplinary performance.
Founded in the early 2000s, the studio grew from an experimental artistic practice exploring the relationships between image, sound, movement, illusion and live performance.
This history continues to inform its cinema: the choreography of bodies, the emotional possibilities of sound and silence, and the creation of distinctive visual worlds.
Work connected to SHH Theory has been presented through organisations and venues including Sydney Opera House, Riverside Theatres and CarriageWorks.
