SHH Theory builds on more than two decades of independent artistic and production activity across film, theatre, opera, music, puppetry and hybrid performance.
That history now sits behind the studio’s film-first direction. Earlier work in live performance and hybrid forms continues to inform SHH Theory’s cinematic approach to atmosphere, bodies, voice, ritual, image, sound and performance.
Work connected to SHH Theory has been presented through organisations and venues including Sydney Opera House, Riverside Theatres and CarriageWorks. Previous screen work includes the internationally recognised feature film Dead Sunrise, winner of Best Feature Film and Best Feature Film Screenplay at Terror Film Festival and recipient of a Silver Remi Award at WorldFest Houston.
